Customers Facing Energy Price Hikes, Gocompare Warns

Worsley homeowners may be inspired to invest in double glazing after hearing that UK households could be in line for an energy price rise of £151.13 on average when a number of dual fuel tariffs come to an end this month (September).

According to Gocompare.com, 21 tariffs are coming to an end on September 30^th from companies including Co-operative Energy, British Gas, First:Utility, Extra Energy, Scottish Power and M&S Energy.

“With a huge number of fixed tariffs coming to an end this month, it’s really important for customers to keep on top of when their deals expire and ensure they’re not paying over the odds for their energy,” energy spokeswoman for the company Caroline Lloyd said.

It’s important that you do shop around the various energy suppliers to find the best deals if your tariff is coming to an end, to make sure that you aren’t hit with a big price increase. Even if you’re a loyal customer to your chosen supplier, it would make sense to check you’re not paying over the odds.

You should also try to make your home as energy efficient as possible to help keep your bills to a minimum.
