With winter definitely here and the clocks set to go back at the end of the month, it’s time to start thinking about how to make the most of your indoor space.
If you’re lucky enough to own a property with a conservatory, you should definitely make good use of this space, as it can allow you to feel as though you’re getting out without having to leave the warmth and comfort of home.
Firstly, you need to ensure it’s warm enough and properly insulated to prevent any heat you generate from escaping. A simple plug-in electric heater is all you need to warm the space up and, provided your conservatory is double glazed and properly fitted, it should stay nice and snug.
The best way to make use of a conservatory, especially with Christmas just around the corner, is to make it an extension of your living space.
Depending on where it’s located on your house, it could be the perfect extension to your living or dining room, giving you more space to entertain people over the festive season. There’s something wonderful about sitting in a conservatory with a glass of mulled wine in hand while the frost glistens on the plants outside.
Alternatively, if your conservatory is only small, you may want to consider using it as a work space. Fitting a desk and comfortable chair in here can allow you to escape from the hubbub of family life while you’re working.
If you’ve been looking at conservatories in Manchester but haven’t taken the plunge yet, use the winter to do your research about all your options, so that you can add one to your property in time for the spring and summer months.
